EMUC20 is now a Virtual Congress!
The 12th European Multidisciplinary Congress on Urological Cancers (EMUC20) is now a two-day virtual congress.
In a change for uro-oncology experts across Europe, the 12th European Multidisciplinary Congress on Urological Cancers (EMUC20) is now a two-day virtual congress. While the organisers had hoped that the EMUC congress could be held physically like every year, the ongoing pandemic has led to a switch to an online, virtual EMUC for 2020.
EMUC is an annual congress co-organised by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the European Society for Radiology & Oncology (ESTRO) and the European Association of Urology (EAU).
EMUC20 will now be taking place online on 13 and 14 November 2020. The meeting will be free to attend for all members of the EAU, ESMO and ESTRO. Non-members will be able to register at a new, reduced fee. Registration is required for participation.
The Scientific Programme
The EMUC congress was originally devised to promote multidisciplinary collaboration between medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and urologists, in particular in setting up multidisciplinary teams. Patients also benefit from specialists’ knowledge of the latest developments in each other’s fields. In the 11 years since, this approach is widely practiced throughout Europe. The EMUC congresses continue to be major events on the calendar for urologists and oncologists alike and attract some 1400 participants.
The new online programme will offer as many highlights as possible from the EMUC20 Scientific Programme as originally envisioned. There will be no separate meeting for the EAU Section of Urological Imaging (ESUI20) as planned, but those interested in urological imaging will find a special ESUI session in the EMUC20 programme.
Participants can expect international expert speakers from various disciplines examining and identifying areas of improvement, collaboration, and innovation to provide a more optimal management plan for patients with urological malignancies. Abstracts with new research and results of the latest urological cancer studies by oncologists, urologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, epidemiologists and other medical scientists will be included.
- Registration for EMUC20 is currently open! The Scientific Programme is still being finalised and will be published on the EMUC20 congress website soon.
