Membership Types

Active Membership
If you are a urologist registered in Europe and a member of a national urological society, this membership type is for you. As an Active Member, you are entitled to all membership benefits and you have the privilege to vote at the General Assembly, which is held during the EAU Annual Congress. The annual fee is €225*.
Junior Membership
If you are a urologist-in-training in Europe, this membership type is for you. You are entitled to all membership benefits but you are not eligible to vote during the General Assembly. As a Junior Member, you can become an Active Member (following the receipt of appropriate documentation). The annual fee is €94*.
Active International Membership
If you are a urologist registered outside Europe, this membership type is for you. As an Active International Member, you are entitled to all membership benefits but you are not eligible to vote during the General Assembly. The annual fee is €225*.
Junior International Membership
If you are a urologist-in-training outside Europe, this membership type is for you. You are entitled to all membership benefits but you are not eligible to vote during the General Assembly. As a Junior International Member, you can become an Active International Member (following the receipt of appropriate documentation). The annual fee is €94*.
Affiliate Membership
If you are a scientist (non-urologist), you can apply for an Affiliate membership. Those who have made significant contributions to urology, and who are not connected with any commercial or pharmaceutical companies, are especially welcome. As an Affiliated Member you are entitled to membership benefits but you are not eligible to claim CME credits nor vote during the General Assembly. The annual fee is €187.50*.
Medical Student Membership
If you are a medical student, this membership type is for you. You are entitled to most membership benefits but you are not eligible for grants, scholarships, and voting during the General Assembly. After finishing your medical studies, you can become a Junior Member or an Affiliated Member (following the receipt of appropriate documentation). The annual fee is €62.50*.
Patient Advocate membership
If you are a patient advocate / patient representative (i.e. you are a member of an official organisation that represents patients), this membership is for you. You are entitled to the following membership benefits (after receipt of appropriate documentation):
- Free access to all European Urology journals: European Urology, European Urology Focus, European Urology Oncology, and European Urology Open Science
- Free online access to our latest EAU Guidelines
- Reduced registration rates for EAU events
- Online subscription to our newsletter, European Urology Today
Please note you are not eligible to vote during the General Assembly. The annual fee is €25*.
Senior Membership
The Senior Membership type is for Active Members who are officially retired but requested to remain as EAU members. They are entitled to special registration rates at EAU events and activities, and access to online resources (e.g. online journals, e-courses). They are eligible for award nominations but cannot vote during the General Assembly. Senior Members are exempted from membership fees.
Honorary Membership
The Honorary Membership type may be awarded to urologists and to those who have had an important influence on European urology. Their election will be recommended by the Executive Committee and must be approved by the EAU Board. Active Members who are elected to Honorary Membership shall retain their voting status for life. Honorary Members are exempted from membership fees.
Support
* EAU now offers support on membership dues automatically, based on the World Bank Classification of the country you work in. If your country is classified as a B-country (Upper-Middle Income Economy), you will automatically receive 20% support. If your country is classified as a C-country (Lower-Middle Income Economy) you will receive 40% support. If your country is classified as a D-country (Low Income Economy) you will receive 60% support.
