Basic Principles of Laparoscopy in Paediatric Urology
Laparoscopy in children is technically challenging and requires special precautions. According to the recent EAU-ESPU guidelines in paediatric urology, the physiological responses of children in different age groups are variable and should always be taken into account.

The use of laparoscopy and robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery is rapidly increasing and has gained widespread acceptance for many urological surgeries in children. Diagnostic laparoscopy for undescended testis, nephrectomy, heminephrectomy, varicocelectomy, pyeloplasty, and ureteral reimplantation are some of the indications which are commonly being performed.
In this webinar, the basic principles of laparoscopy in children as well as the basic laparoscopy skills will be discussed with the experts in the field. The webinar is organized by the EAU Working Group on Paediatric Urology (EWPU). All urologists and paediatric surgeons with a special interest in paediatric urology are welcome to attend this webinar.
