This e-course will focus on the retroperitoneoscopy in children, a technique which was highly developed and used by Prof. A. El Ghoneimi (FR) and his team.

The aims of this e-course are:

  • to describe the access in case of retroperitoneal laparoscopy and robotic-assisted retroperitoneoscopy.
  • to discuss its advantages over transperitoneal access in children.
  • to focus on this technique in case of ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) repair in children by retroperitoneal laparoscopy or by robotic-assisted retroperitoneoscopy.
  • to explain indications, outcomes and limitations.
